Entries Now Open for the 2026 National Hedgelaying Championships
Online applications are now open for competitors wishing to take part in the 2026 National Hedgelaying Championships, taking place on Saturday 10 October 2026 near Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire.
The National Championships bring together hedgelayers from across the country to demonstrate their skills and compete across a range of classes and regional styles.
Whether you are a regular competitor or considering entering the National Championships for the first time, we welcome your application.
Do you see yourself on the winner’s podium in 2026? Then it’s time to get your application in! Closing date for applications is 26th September.
Competitors can now apply online through the NHLS website.
In order to log in to the updated site and register for the Nationals, you will first need to register on the website. It is not a difficult process but you will need your membership ID and the email address that we hold for your membership.
To register;
1. Click “Log In” on the menu bar of the NHLS web site.
2. On the next screen click the big green “REGISTER” button.
3. Enter your NHLS membership ID and the email address registered with your membership.
4. Press the green “Register” button (once!)
5. You should see a page confirming that your registration has been accepted.
6. Check your email and you should receive an email containing a link to confirm registration your registration and a password.
7. Click on the “Complete Registration” link which will take you back to the site and show a page with a “Login here” link.
8. Press that and enter your membership ID if the site hasn’t already filled that in and the password from the email in step 6.
9. Once logged in, you will see National Championships 2026. Click here to register.
